Antique Cast Iron Fireplace Insert Gas Logs Ornate Architectural Salvage
December 31, 2017 admin 0 Comments
This is a beautiful antique cast iron fireplace insert. That was salvaged from a Victorian Brownstone in Brooklyn, NY. It is all cast iron and is painted white. The perimeter has open cast “fretwork” and the center has brick or tile looking cast iron. There is ornate trim around the gas logs. It is VERY heavy. It measures 30.75 inches wide by 31 inches tall and is approx. 6.5 inches deep overall. Overall, it is in good condition. Scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Please look at the pictures carefully. Please inquire with your zip code and I will get you a quote quickly. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time!
