Enviro Q3 Gas Fireplace with Logs Requires 4 x 6 5/8 Venting. The stove MUST be installed by a licensed professional and inspected by local building authority. The Q3 medium sized gas fireplace heats up to 2,000 sq. This standing pilot/millivolt unit comes as a complete kit, with the log set, brick liner, child guard safety screen & a LP/propane conversion kit (just in case you do NOT have NG but it comes out of the crate ready for residential NG). With the standing pilot/millivolt system, the burner works without electricity as the gas valve is powered from the thermocouple & thermopile. While the blower would not work in a power outage, the fireplace itself will work just fine! You will not have to worry about the fireplace heating the room the fireplace is in during a power outage. It comes with a standard on/off burner switch you can mount in the lower control panel. Also good to know that standing pilot/millivolt systems will work with most of the optio. Nal remote controls available for gas fireplaces to turn the burner on & off. Please keep in mind those remotes will not modulate the flame up & down, that is done manually at the gas valve which is located behind the lower control panel. There is a wide variety of remote options available for gas fireplaces, some remote options work as a thermostat or you could wire a millivolt wall mounted thermostat to your fireplace.
